County of San Mateo Regional Operations Center

The new 37,000-square-foot, two-story Regional Operations Center (ROC) serves as a critical hub for emergency response, housing the County’s 9-1-1 Public Safety Dispatch, Emergency Operations Center, and Office of Emergency Services. Built to the highest seismic and resiliency standards, the ROC is designed to operate independently for up to seven days without external power or water and can support responders for 10 days post-disaster. The facility features advanced technology that enables multimedia emergency communications, redundant systems, and sustainable infrastructure, including bioswales and eco-conscious materials, ensuring reliable operations during catastrophic events.
