First-in-the-Nation LEED Silver Airport Renovation
Los Angeles, CA
The one million-square-foot renovation of the 25-year-old Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX was designed to reduce congestion, enhance safety, and improve the passenger experience. The project included a full interior overhaul, a new in-line baggage handling system, and a boarding gate for the 800-passenger Airbus A380, along with updated signage, digital displays, modernized elevators and escalators, upgraded IT and communication systems, refreshed interior finishes, and fully renovated public restrooms. Completed over 38 months in multiple phases while the terminal remained operational, the project serves over 10 million passengers annually and became the first airport renovation in the U.S. to earn LEED Silver certification.
